Summer Vacation

Starts on Tuesday after my last final. I'm ready for this you have no idea. I want to say ADIOS to the most dreadful semester I ever had in my educational career. So much bullshit I had to deal with and worries about not passing a class. Anything less than a B for me is not passing. C is passing but not in the science world. Get with it. Or BOUNCE. I hate when people try to compare their pussy ass classes to mine. Like no dude, you don't have to put in hours to just stay up with your studies. You can BULLSHIT. This class, no bullshit allowed. As I'm having the worse cramp in my toes right now lol I have to say you got this Florence. You do. Make these finals your bitch. No sleep is fine, you have two more days. You're at the end of the stretch. YOU CAN DOOOOOOOOO ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

Beautiful

LOVE this song. On repeat right now as I study for this final of my life. Yeah.. let's go it's 1:20AM I'm sure I'll be up all night but it's cool :) Gotta do the damn thang.

Sigh.

Must clean living room, kitchen, and dining room table by tonight. I need maintenance done in my kitchen and I am a big weirdo about people coming here when it's messy. So for the next hour and a half I' going to clean up as much as this mess as I can. TRY and not to get side tracked. First: throw trash away. Second: build rack. Third: put stuff in rack. Fourth: make it to Target by 10PM.

Note to self: BUY MORE INDEX CARDS

School: Study for quiz. Start homework.  Make flash cards for 3 lecture notes.

I'll have a better entry post this week about stuff that I bought, did, whatever :D

Have a happy Sunday night everyone!

Parachute - Forever and Always

This song right here is my jam. It's currently on repeat. A lot of repeat lol.

Good morning America

I am the biggest sore loser when it comes to basketball  I have stepped back from the light because it was seriously taking a toll on my emotional state of being (yes it's that serious). I'm sorry I'm a fan that's dedicated to her team, I will not be sorry when I speak back and say my piece while people are talking sh!t about Kobe Bryant. It's the most irritating thing, I get it because I am a Lebron James hater for life. I wanted him to never win a championship in his whole career. I wanted him to be the star that kept trying and failed miserably. But that didn't happen, and most of the time I shut my mouth about it. Because you're either a Kobe hater, or a Lebron hater. I still with my purple and gold. ALWAYS. What happened to Kobe Bryant is a really sad time in his career. All his hard work has been put into a holt. And such a serious injury for people to say he DESERVES it? Is down right cruel. No one deserves to end their season with a knee injury. An icon. I hope he recovers and comes back stronger next year, or the year after. I know he will come back fighting, it is Kobe Bryant that we're talking about here. His first home game I will attend. I haven't been to a Lakers game in almost 2 years. Sad day I know. Hm. Yeah that's about it :) Well I hope everyone has a great weekend. That's just my two cents.

And to my bay area friends. I aint got nothin but love for ya'll. But PLEASE stfu about the Warriors and how they deserve this. Everyone's team deserves something. Ya'll are on a great streak, but all of these wins are making ya'll big headed as fck and it's really irritating. Trust me, I haven't met a bigger fan of the bay sports than the person I am dating. I listen to it all the time. He's uncensored  He sends me text messages that PMO, he continues to rub wins in my face. But guess what? The Lakers will always come back and be able to go to the playoffs, the Warriors? Meh, it's based on luck. Ya'll talk trash and say Kobe carries the Lakers. What team doesn't have an all star? In this case, ALL STARS. In everyone's career I'm sure they'll dream of playing for the Lakers, because DUH it's the best fcking team around. Don't even get me started with the white, green, and gold. Oh my Athletics  Whom are doing AMAZING this season btw. Don't even bash on them I will CUT you. And I could care less for football. Which is the only mutual sport I can tolerate. God. People have big ass mouths. And I think it's hilarious when most of them don't even know the game at all. You attend one or two, don't really follow, you won't even be able to EXPLAIN let alone tell me your roster, um need I say more? GTFOH!

Yeah too early in the morning to be dealing with crazies.

Joy Williams- What can I do

Feeling very uninspired, down, pissed that I'm not doing well in my classes. Yeah. Enough said. Music soothes my soul always. And a side of Matthew always makes my day brighter.

Music seriously is the main thing that's get me through studying.

Straight no chaser- The man who can't be moved

Love this version!!

Craig David: Trust me

I honestly haven't listened to a Craig David song in forever. I changed my channel to Gabe Bondoc and this is the third song that played. I LOVE IT!!

John Legend: PDA (We just don't care)

John Legend: PDA (We just don't care)
Pulling an all nighter for the first time in a while. I have a fever, and I don't feel great what so ever. AND it's not as fuck here at the AIRC. They seriously need to turn the heat down. But for the next 5 hours I'll be studying. I listen to pandora a lot, and John Legend popped up and this goes out to my baby love <3

Music

Do you listen to music a lot? I'm constantly on Pandora. It's a definitely MUST HAVE in my life.

New family

I was able to have the opportunity to meet some of my Grandma's nieces and nephews these past few years. I have the blood of a Ridad, Ballesteros, Cafirma, and Sagaysay. They're the Sagaysay side and here's a few photos from their arrival dinner this past Thursday. My Tita Teri and cousin Andrea went to pick them up at SMF (Sacramento International) which was only 15 minutes from me but about a hour from them (they drove from Stockton). So enjoy. Meet some of my family <3

Turned 27

I swear it seems like my last post was just yesterday. But it's been more than 3 weeks -_- FAIL! So just a little update before I get my day going. I just celebrated my 27th birthday on Sunday, and it couldn't be any more perfect. To some partying and doing it "big" seems to justify the amount of fun one has, but not for me. It doesn't take much to make me happy, and although I couldn't have all my loved ones in one room, I was able to see them throughout my day and that's what really mattered.

The AM I was able to see Matt before he headed out to work and had a quick breakfast. Immediately fell back asleep because I was that tired and I needed to get up 3 hours later to go to brunch with some friends. We went to The Fruit Yard in Modesto, Ca which was extremely tasty. They have a Sunday brunch that is a must try. It's a hidden gem in the boondocks, seriously I would've never been able to find this, nor would I even think of going here if my friend didn't bring me. Afterwards did some shopping and headed back to my parents house where I was greeted by my nephew and niece. For those who don't know, my niece and nephew are my world. They're my brothers children (I don't have kids of my own yet). My nephew called me prior that he wanted to buy me a cake, but I had to buy the cake because he doesn't have a job lol, mind you he's 3. So I came home immediately to smiles and play time. And of course the old geezer that I am, I wanted to take a nap. These kids wear me out! My mom asked me to come home for dinner and I did (my home town is about 1 hour from where I live). I love my moms BBQ and she made Adobo (Filipino dish). My brother and sister-in-law arrived shortly after.

The last time I spoke to my brother was July 2012 due to differences and arguments that I was just tired of dealing of. And we conversed for the first time. Some people may not agree with me on how I delt with the situation, but a gal can only get knocked down so many times before she says HEY FCK THIS, deuces. But we are on talking terms once again, for those who care/ know.

My nephews Cole and Riley and their mom Lisa (my cousins baby momma) came to take me out to get dessert. Mangonadas at Elsas in Stockton, Ca. If you haven't tried it, it's definitely a MUST! Oh so good. It was my second time trying it and I liked the first one lol, less lucas stuff. Anyways we did a few errands for her and then headed to my other cousins house. What's better than ending the night with laughter, cake, ice cream, and surrounded by some of your closest people in your life? I wouldn't have it any other way. Although not each and everyone was in the room at the end of night, thank you for partaking in my birthday. It really meant a lot to me that you guys took time throughout your day to make me smile. Thank you for the facebook comments, texts, phone calls, and messages.

Shoutouts to those who made my day extra special :)

I will be making multiple entry posts today about my past week and just adding photos here and there. Hope ya'll don't mind.

VLOG NUMBER TWO

Sorry I've been sucking at life and not updating this. Well I'm busy so I decided to make a video real quick :)

Sacramento Foodie Review:

Today for my late lunch I decided to go and check out a Korean BBQ restaurant. It's not one of those sit down kind where you grill your own meat, it's more of an Americanized one where they have tacos, burritos, etc. The first time I experienced that type of cuisine was down in Los Angeles at the Kogi Taco Truck (still my favorite one of them all btw). But anywho, the area is on T street, and I'm sure they will have potential to be jam packed. For all I know is that they could be, but I went around 3PM so there was only a few people when I arrived. There's not that much seating on the inside, but outside there's more. They serve beer, which is a plus because many establishments like this just have your typical water and soda type of deal. You can find their menu on: http://sactako.com/Menu.php.

I really wanted to try their Nachos, but I wasn't in the mood, so I got their Kimchi fried rice. It was okay. It's one of the better ones that I have had that's for sure. I think I'm going to stay away from the whole Kimchi thing because not many places have good tasting fresh ones. Anywho, their fried rice is $5 with no meat, but additional $2 for meat. I wanted the marinated steak, which is also known as the Bulgogi. The meat was flavorful and quite a treat. Due to the size, I was only able to eat about 1/3 of it, but it made a great left over for dinner time. I will come back here to try something else though! Maybe nachos next time! And a side note, their house sauces are pretty good. Try it! By all means their "spicy" isn't spicy but it has a good amount of flavors. Their cupcakes looked yummy, but I don't really like cake, so that treat was out of the question. If they had some ice cream or some of their tres leches I would've but nope! More better reason to come next time right?

WEEKEND CHALLENGE: 2 secrets about me

So I'm going to share two secrets about me. Ready? Set. And GO!

1) If I'm sleeping alone, which is about 3-4 times a week or more if I don't see my boo bear on the weekends because he likes to leave me to go on trips *sigh, just kidding, I need some form of light on. If I'm extremely tired it doesn't matter. It's not because I'm scared, I don't know why. Whether it's my laptop staying open (sometimes I just fall asleep watching a movie or show) or the light on my night stand, or just the ceiling light. Yes, I can sleep with the light on, I hate to admit this but sometimes I get SUPER lazy and I don't want to get out of bed and I'll just fall asleep. I know *bad Florence.

2) I love spicy food. The spicier the better. I love the burn the roof of your mouth, get a little sweaty, nose running type of heat. Oh lawd TMI huh? But yes, I LOVEEEEE SPICY FOOD. I cannot get enough of it. There was a point where I ate spicy salsa with my food almost everyday. I sometimes use sriracha sauce (the asian red rooster), hot oil chili (found mainly at Thai and SOME Chinese restaurants), and cheyale (I don't even know how to properly spell this, but this is my favorite of them all). So when I lived with my brother and sister in law, one day her mom made this roasted amazing goodness. If you follow me on my personal instagram which is (florenceantonette) you will be able to see in some of my photos when I eat rice and some type of meat, there's this green stuff. It's cilantro, onion, TONS of thai chili (well not tons, maybe 8-15 depending on how hot it is & roasted), 1 jalapeno (roasted), dried red hot pepper crushed, and salt & MSG (you don't have to add MSG). And you smash it into a mortar and pastle. You can buy it at almost any asian store, I've seen them at TJ Maxx. But I'll make a video or photos of step-by-step on how to make it.

Weekend Challenge: VLOG

So one of my challenges for this weekend was to make a VLOG, it's nothing specific but I just wanted to share it. AH, it's so damn weird seeing myself talk to myself, but hey I guess I'm not the only one who does it. Check it out, hope you enjoy. The next posting will probably be my mini vacation that I took to Pismo Beach, but we'll see. Maybe I'll go and take photos of my city to share with you on how I view Sacramento. I said 5 photos is the limit, BUT I may do more. Following the rules? Who does that these days... kidding.

Check this out please :D

One of my favorite you tube artists is Gabe Bondoc. I've seen him a few years back when he performed at SJSU, ahh how I'd love to go and see him again :)

Watch with me.

TOP CHEF LAST CHANCE KITCHEN

I love top chef. TEAM SHELDON. I'm Filipino, so you know I have to go with the Filipino bro <3

Le life.

There are times in life where you're going to hit a bump in the road, that bump seems to be getting bigger and bigger and when will they end? This semester is my last, well it was supposed to be at least. I didn't want to go to summer school but I suppose I may have to. The availability of courses are outrageous. I rather go through the path that I'm going, than in debt and struggling. Where to next? I always thought I wanted to go to San Francisco. Oh the city life. I love it there, but I'm a little hesitant on moving that direction because I don't want to hate that city. If I'm going to live there I want to ENJOY it. I want to be able to surround myself with the things that I love especially if I'm going to be there for a while.

When people ask me about my path and what I have been doing and where I go, sometimes I just want to hand them my resume. It's interesting how people think jobs define them, or how their significant others job defines them is even more comical. The last time I checked, that's what THEY do, and not you. But people will be people. My job doesn't define me, a career is a little more different. I don't think some individuals know the difference.

Why the change of blog sites? I eventually want to build something that's not filled with REBLOGS, tumblr is a good site for that. To display certain things that I like, but in the midst of scrolling, you were only able to find a few blog postings that I have done because it's so easy to just go on a clicking tangent and BAM BAM BAM, reblog, reblog, like. So I moved here, hello :) You'll find photos, health tips, recipes, crafts, etc. I want 2013 to be a change. I want to be more involved in my community, my friendships, my family, and just enjoy life.

Last semester I was a walking zombie. The term "WORK HARD PLAY HARD" is kind of my theme for this year. I want to explore Sacramento more. I've been living here for a while now and I just stick to my bubble kind of. I really want to challenge myself and see what's out here. I mean people come all over the world to visit the capital of California and find themselves being quite disappointed, trust me I get disappointed too and I live here. There are many restaurants, a few bars here and there, but where are the hidden gems? That is my goal. To at least find 3 hidden gems a month. I'll also share my foodie experiences. Oh the love of food, now that's a whole other story, yes I'm trying to eat out less, and yes it's been working. But I can't stop eating. Life is too short to not taste the deliciousness out there. Ah, food it's such an art of it's own. I feel sorry for those who stick to one thing, I could never do that. So tomorrows Friday, and my goal after work is to go and see my nephew and spend time with him, I also would like to see my grandmother since it's been a quick minute. Then shoot back to good ol` Sacramento. Oh the joys of the 916.

Challenge for myself this weekend:
- Finish week 1 & 2 for project life
- Share with you two secrets about me
- 5 Photos that represent your city: PUBLIC CHALLENGE! I challenge you my friends to go around your city and capture how you define it in just 5 photographs
- Do a VLOG: oh my. Me? Record myself? This should be interesting.
- Show you my homework :) I'm such a nerd.
- My Pismo Beach 2 day get away vacation I took this past Sunday and Monday

I think that's a lot, but you know me I enjoy setting the bar pretty up there.

WARNING: I love to use smiley faces, I type the way I talk, I over use "like", HELLA: duh I am from Nor Cal what do you expect? And I will talk about my boyfriend from time to time, just because I can :) Toodles, goodnight.
